Album Review

Rolando Villazon is one of the world's most acclaimed lyric tenors; he was also born and raised in Mexico, and while he's a frequent performer at many of the world's great opera houses, he's retained a love for the music of his homeland. On Villazon's 2010 album ¡Mexico!, he teamed up with pianist, composer, and arranger Gonzalo Grau to record a selection of classic Mexican melodies, accompanied by the chamber ensemble Bolivar Soloists. Villazon brings his estimable vocal abilities to "Besame Mucho," "Dime Que Si," "Te Quiero Dijiste," "El Reloj," "Besos Robados," and more.
