Recorded with the 80-piece Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra, The Artist is French composer Ludovic Bource's official soundtrack to the Palme d'Or-nominated black-and-white silent movie based on a 1920s film star's relationship with an extra. Inspired by the likes of Prokofiev, Ravel, and Debussy, Ludovic Bource is a French composer/arranger famous for his successful musical relationship with critically acclaimed director Michel Hazanavicius. After starting his career scoring various commercials, he moved onto creating soundtracks for the short films En Attendant, Sirene Song, and Spartacus, and producing albums for the likes of French hip-hop trio Svinkels (Bois Mes Paroles), folk-pop chanteuse Little (Rose Bonbon) and Gallic rock vocalist...
