Perfect combination!

Still one of those forgotten gems of this awesome trio: The Three Degrees, the longest running female trio in the world according to Guinness Book of Records. Producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman did a fantastic job. Finally, all mixes available in super quality and, a big welcome here, is the B-side (vinyl): Gimme Gimme Gimme, which was written by Sheila Ferguson herself, a former important singer of the ladies.
Sheila's lead on "When Will I See You Again", together with the awesome background vocals of Valerie Holiday & Fayette Pinkney (RIP), gave the ladies their signature song. The rest is history.

Philly soul vocal group the Three Degrees started in 1963 in Philadelphia, PA. They were discovered by producer and songwriter Richard Barrett. Barrett was a key force for 1950s groups the Chantels, Little Anthony & the Imperials, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, and his own group the Valentines. The original lineup was Fayette Pickney, Shirley Porter, and Linda Turner. Barrett recorded this lineup on their first single, "Gee Baby (I'm Sorry)." In 1963, Linda Turner and Shirley Porter left the group...
