Le baroque à la française devient ici fabuleusement restitué par l'équipe de Jordi Savall. Chaque instrumentiste et leur ensemble ont construit pour chacune des pièces de Marin Marais tantôt un écrin, tantôt un jardin, tantôt un cathédrale... Bref des lieux et des ambiances magiques que sont les morceaux eux-mêmes pour eux-mêmes et le plus grand plaisir de notre orille, comme si l'auditeur était au centre de chacun de ces lieux.

Like many of England's finest musicians, Andrew Lawrence-King began his career in choir school, serving as head chorister for the Cathedral and Parish Church of St. Peter Port, Guernsey. He took an organ scholarship to Cambridge University, where he read mathematics, but finished his studies in organ and voice at the London Early Music Centre.
