Another Kool Savas album deeply indebted to Eminem, rooted in blunt-force beats that are draped in theatrical synthetic strings, Tot Oder Lebendig showcases the German MC’s frantic, about-to-snap delivery. The title track, “Orakel,” and “Alle Schieben Optik” are especially tense, while “Melodie” — featuring Moe Mitchell — is a diversion into pop balladry.
