QR Journal allows users with an iSight (or iSight compatible) camera to read QR codes. Found a QR code in a magazine or catalog? Simply hold up to the iSight camera to scan, store and browse to URLs.
You can also import and scan existing images for QR codes. Select import and just drag the image into QR Journal to scan it.
Updated for macOS 10.13 (High Sierra). Fixes problem where scanning/watching resulted in blank camera feed.

does not scan
Nice app, if only it would work.
If you click 'scan', the app will activate your in-build iSight camera, but there is no way to 'scan' the image. No button, no nothing. Only a 'close' button.
Same for the import option. You can import an image, but it does not scan, save or do anything with it. Here as well only the 'close' button.
No idea what the problem is, it might be that my image is too small & the camera cannot take a decent (non-blurry) picture of it. But it does not even say so then...
Too bad :( although it looks good (nice & simple).
Nice if it was working
Does not scan or import, buttons stay innactives only the "close" button works
Works fine, but iSight does not focus automatically to detect high-resolution QR codes
Nice app, just hold a QR code in front of the iSight cam and it is detected and decoded (you don't need to push any button).
However, the focus point of the iSight cam is set to a distance that prohibits scanning high-resolution QR codes. So the app works fine for standard QR codes, but not for small-printed or high-resolution QR codes.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
