Saygrace’s take on the song topped the Australian singles chart and reached No. 4 in the UK. • Saygrace is from a musical family. Her grandparents once toured with the Bee Gees, and her older brother Conrad Sewell is a successful pop singer with several hits to his name. • “You Don’t Own Me” appeared on Saygrace’s debut EP, Memo, which came out in Australia in 2015 and the US in 2016. • Her first full-length, 2016’s FMA, reached the Top 40 in both the US and Australia. • At one point in July 2015, Saygrace and Conrad Sewell had adjacent songs on the Australian singles chart: “You Don’t Own Me” was No. 3, while Conrad’s single “Start Again” held the No. 2 spot.
