About Missing Persons

When the U.S. new wave pop boom was in full effect, former Frank Zappa sidemen Terry Bozzio, Warren Cuccurullo, and Patrick O'Hearn drafted Terry's partner Dale as a singer and launched a high-profile career with a catchy, synth pop-tinged sound. They released three albums between 1982 and 1984, scoring big with such songs as "Words," "Walking in L.A.," and "Destination Unknown" from their influential debut Spring Session M. As their popularity waned, the band remained active on-and-off through the decades with Dale at the helm, while Cuccurullo briefly joined Duran Duran, O'Hearn built a successful career as a new age instrumentalist, and Terry became a premier drum clinician.
