Slow Children At Play

About Slow Children At Play

Under the influences of third wave ska and upbeat pop-punk that has resulted in the critical comparisons of Reel Big Fish and Blink 182, Slow Children at Play got their start in 1996 after having met at the University of Georgia. With their headquarters based in Athens, GA, the lineup of Christian Jolly (guitar/vocals), Eric Henson (percussion), Chris Haugh (trumpet), Mike Coloney (trumpet), Jon Brown (keyboards), Ryan Haylock (tenor sax), and Graham Ingram (bass) eventually released their debut full-length of Someone Just Called and Complained in 1999. By the next year, Slow Children at Play followed up with their second album, entitled Let's Kick This Thing. ~ Mike DaRonco
