About Susan Court

Susan Court (Susan Maughlin Wood) is a composer, pianist, and producer from Seattle, Washington. She started her musical training with piano lessons when she was around seven years old. Court's training continued until she earned a BA in Music Theory/History from the University of Washington. In 1998, Court completed her solo debut album, High Relief, a collection of folk-pop songs including "Between the Quiet," "Blight & Bonny," and "Floodletting." In the 2010s, Court completed the Master of Music in Film Composition under Hummie Mann at the Pacific NW Film Scoring Program at the Seattle Film Institute, and also formed the production company PunchBeam Music, LLC. She began composing music for films, including 2013's Rocket Man and the Aerial Fortress and the documentary Beating Batten. She has also composed music for video games and apps. ~ Charlotte Dillon
