This is the recording, originally on the A&M label, that was the breakout recording for Milton Nascimento in the U.S., which came out at about the time of the similar Brazilian based recording of Wayne Shorter's Native Dancer. Several of Nascimento's most familiar songs are contained in this release. Milton (bearing the sub-title Minas — referring to his home state of Minas Gerais) is a remarkably cohesive piece of work that stands as one of his finest.
