Album Review

Fans haven't heard from Jeff Carson since 1995's mega-hits "Not on Your Love" and "The Car." Album number three reminds us of what we've been missing for the last six years. Carson has a way with a ballad, so Real Life is chock-full of them. He pours his heart and soul into "My One and Only Love" and the touching "What's Not to Love." Fans will be moved by the heartbreak of "Until We Fall Back in Love Again" and the failing relationship in "It Wouldn't Kill Me." But they'll also appreciate the feel-good beats and uplifting messages of "Where Did I Go So Right," "Shine On," and "Divine Intervention." Real Life is a nice re-introduction to this talented artist.
