Past Masters, Vols. 1 & 2, originally released in 1988, gathered all of The Beatles’ songs (some of their best known) that weren’t included on the original UK albums. The two collections are available as one here and contain songs from their earliest days (“I Want to Hold Your Hand”, “Love Me Do”), their psychedelic era (“Day Tripper”, “Paperback Writer”), and their final sessions together as a band (“Hey Jude”, “Don’t Let Me Down”, and “The Ballad of John and Yoko”). The Beatles put as much work into their singles as they did on their albums as proven in this collection. This remastered iTunes LP version of Past Masters contains liner notes and photos.
