About Alusa Fallax

Formed in Milan in 1969 but based in the small northern Italian city of Novara by the Cirla brothers, Alusa Fallax seemed destined to spend their career releasing little-known (and now long-forgotten) 45s for sundry Italian labels. Their debut, 1969's " Dedicato a chi ama Charleston" was followed later that same year by " Tutto passa Cade una stella." They spent several years playing live and supporting touring bands from abroad before they signed with Fonit and began work on their debut album in 1974. Its 13 songs linked into two distinct suites, Intorno Alla Mia Cattiva Educazione is the work of an uncommonly and certainly unexpectedly ambitious band, favorably comparable to period Gentle Giant and boding well for the band's future. Unfortunately, it was to be their only release - the group broke up later that same year. ~ Dave Thompson
