About Blind Norris

Blind Norris was the name that Norris McHenry recorded under when he tracked two sides ("Longest Train Blues" and "Long Road Blues") on October 25, 1929, in Dallas, TX, followed by two more sides for Decca Records ("Sundown Blues" and "The Katy Blues") recorded in Dallas on February 8, 1937. At the latter session he was accompanied by Alex Moore on piano and Andrew Hogg on guitar. No other recordings are known, although it has been noted that Blind Norris (who seems to mostly whistle on these sessions) sounds suspiciously like Billiken Johnson. ~ Steve Leggett
