About Kungsbacka Piano Trio

The Kungsbacka Piano Trio is one of Scandinavia's leading chamber ensembles, active in Britain and the U.S. as well as its home region. The Kungsbacka Piano Trio was formed in 1997, and since the trio's inception, its members have been violinist Malin Broman, cellist Jesper Svedberg, and pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips. An early breakthrough for the trio was a first prize at Australia's Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in 1999. In 2005, the trio made its recording debut on the album Arktis Arktis!: Works by Karen Rehnqvist. The group issued a pair of albums of Schumann chamber works in 2020 and 2023. The group members teach at Gothenburg University in Sweden and serve as an associate ensemble at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
