About Little Hudson
b. 6 September 1919, Anguilla, Mississippi, USA. Little Hudson (as he was known on record) moved to Chicago at the age of 20. There he began to play on the flourishing blues scene, and eventually started his own group, the Red Devils Trio. Showers made some records with his band, which included pianist Lazy Bill Lucas, in 1953 for the JOB label, but otherwise remained fairly obscure. A very short recording, originally made as a radio advertisement, was unearthed and issued in more recent years.
