Ever-changing Flemish rock outfit Mama's Jasje began their career as a quintet after forming in 1990, scoring hits with their debut, Paradijs Op Aarde, and its follow-up, Letters en Lawaai. But in 1993, the group virtually disbanded, leaving the only original member, Peter Van Laet, to carry on the name alongside new recruit Gunter Van Campenhout. The duo went onto achieve great success with several reworkings of much-loved Dutch rock classics, first with 1995's De Hits, and then with three subsequent volumes of their Hommages series. Van Campenhout left the band for five years in 2002 (replaced by Peter's brother Jan), and then again in 2011 (replaced by actor Jan Schepens). ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
