About Mr. Big

Best known for the massive hit “To Be With You,” hard rock outfit Mr. Big was a shredder supergroup staffed with virtuosos whose collective résumé includes stints with Poison and David Lee Roth. ∙ Thanks to its signature track, “To Be With You,” which hit No. 1 in 12 countries, 1991’s Lean Into It was named by Rolling Stone one of the 50 Greatest Hair Metal Albums of All Time. ∙ Proving their power-ballad staying power, they scored Top 40 hits with the 1991 single “Just Take My Heart” and a tear-jerking rendition of Cat Stevens’ “Wild World,” from 1993’s Bump Ahead. ∙ Frontman Eric Martin joined Guns N’ Roses’ Matt Sorum for the one-off project Power Rangers Orchestra, recording the theme song for 1995’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. ∙ As one of the bands that popularized the phrase “big in Japan,” they sold out such massive venues as the Budokan arena, and nearly all of their studio albums were Top 10 hits in the country.
