About Orquesta Casino de la Playa
Led by blind tres guitar player Arsenio Rodriguez, Orquestra Casino De La Playa served as the training ground for future Latin stars Perez Prado, percussionist Mongo Santamaria, and vocalist Miguelito Valdes. Formed in Havana, Cuba, in 1937, the group relocated to Mexico City in 1948. ~ Craig Harris
