About Susan McCann

Susan McCann began her career singing at local venues in Northern Ireland. She joined Top Spin Records in the mid 1970s, and saw her second single, "Big Tom Is Still The King," hit number one on the Irish charts. In 1979, she toured America and made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry. Over the years she has cut a steady stream of albums, several of which were recorded in the States with country legend Porter Wagoner. She found regular success on the Irish charts with songs such as "When The Sun Says Goodbye To The Mountains," "Rockabilly Can Rock," and "String Of Diamonds." In 1988, she became the first non-American to appear at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood theme park.
