Opinião do álbum

Air Miami's "World Cup Fever" was originally featured on the band's full-length debut, Me, Me, Me, in 1995. The song was inspired by the 1994 World Cup soccer tournament. On this release to commemorate the 1998 tournament, Air Miami's Mark Robinson sought out musician friends to create exciting remixes of the song on this limited-edition disc. On the first track, the "Guy Fixsen Mix," Gabriel Stout adds drums to the mix and Fixsen adds a keyboard beat and synthesizer throughout the track. On the second remix, Superchunk's Mac McCaughan creates an eerie and surreal mixture of the track, dramatically slowing down the song's beat. Andrew Beaujon, formerly of the band Eggs, adds found-sound vocals at the beginning of his mix and goes on to create a unique sound with the song, adding computer-generated beats and stop-start rhythms. Trevor Kampmann of HollAnd creates a Casio-based and sped-up version of the song on his mix. Stephen Merritt experiments with pitch and a variety of blips and bleeps on track six. On "Demolition Recording," John Rickman, Guy Fixsen, and Matt Letsinger collaborate to create a drum-heavy re-creation of "World Cup Fever." The disc might only be essential for Air Miami fans, as well as fans of experimental remixes. And, of course, fans of soccer.

Debuting in 1995 with "Pucker," a contribution to the 4AD label compilation All Virgos Are Mad, Air Miami next surfaced with the lovely "Fight Song," a track which appeared on Wakefield Vol. 1, a sampler issued on Robinson's TeenBeat...
