The NashRamblas app brings a new level of detail to walking information on the iPhone and iPod Touch – using a map designed for pedestrians, this app has been developed especially to continue on from the London Festival of Architecture 2010 Nash Ramblas route.
Crossings, railings, ramps and footpaths are shown in detail with 3D illustrations of key architectural landmarks to help you place yourself in the map - just one of many features that make this one of the best-looking and most user-friendly maps you will see on the iPhone. Tap the locate me button for your current location and zoom from the overview of the route down to the street corner.
Tap on the magenta highlighted buildings to reveal information about the architectural highlights of the route – from the stunning views from Primrose Hill and the Georgian terraces of Regent’s Park to the grandeur of Regent Street and St James’s beyond. The app includes specially compiled galleries featuring rare archival images that give you unique access to the heritage of some of London’s most famous sights.
Produced by RIBA London. Designed by Applied Information Group and developed by The Electric Mapping Company. Sponsored by RIBA London, Applied Information Group, The Crown Estate, The Royal Parks and English Heritage. Map supported by Infoterra and Westminster City Council.
