Nau Mai, welcome to O-Tū-Kapua (‘what clouds see’), glimpse the secret world of a forest. Set in the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland, New Zealand you can wander through the trees, using the magnifying glass to explore this beautifully illustrated landscape. Reveal the haunting stories of Hauāuru (the West Wind) as he makes music for you with the trees, birds and leaves and find out who is hiding deep inside the forest. Using imagery, language and music O-Tū-Kapua (‘what clouds see’) introduces atmospheric science to children in a meaningful way, connecting us to the ecosystem that we inhabit. This is a quest based experience using creative activities encouraging active participation, conversation, questioning and understanding.
