i think this is one of the greatest bon jovi albums. i mean, BED OF ROSES, YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, BLAZE OF GLORY, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER and ALWAYS. so many good songs...I LOVE THIS ALBUM!

Chapter one summed up nicely...

This album is an interesting collection, for two reasons. First off, it really functions similarly to the Doors 2-disc greatest hits set in that in actually showcases the band in a thorough, and complimenting manner. Bon Jovi, like the Doors, are a band who's entire catalogue is a little inconsistant. But, that's where this ablum comes in. it focuses in on the hits, and really gives you a great snapshot of the ever evolving (And I would argue almost progressive) nature of the band. Secondly, the album really was the end of an era for the band, and it's thus fitting that both of the two new songs on the ablum blend in, while showcasing a new direction. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and Prayer '94 show that Jon wanted to get away from the 80's style over the top singing, and really laid the foundation for their shift to heartland rock. I think a Cross Road 2 featuring songs such as It's My Life, Have a Nice Day, Who Says You Can't Go Home, etc, would be perfect right about now. Especially since Rock Band is exposing the band to a new young audience.

wow! vraimenT. cet album est excellent. pratiquement toutes les tounes sont bonnes dans cet album. chapeau à Jon

After ushering in the era of pop-metal with their 1986 blockbuster Slippery When Wet and its hit singles "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "Living on a Prayer," Bon Jovi wound up transcending the big-haired '80s, withstanding changes in style and sound to become one of the biggest American rock bands of their time -- selling over 120 million albums worldwide and sustaining their popularity well into the new millennium. As the times changed, so did the band's sound. They slowly...
