Editors’ Notes

By introducing artists like Broken Social Scene, Feist, and Stars to the world, the Arts & Crafts label has become something of an indie-pop institution. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Arts & Crafts decided to pair up their artists in sometimes unlikely partnerships to record a broad array of tracks. Some of the most immediately striking cuts here are unexpected covers, like the funky take on New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle” offered by Zeus and Apostle of Hustle, or the atmospheric, stately version of Duran Duran’s “The Chauffer” by The Hidden Cameras and Snowblink. Other highlights include Broken Social Scene and Years playing together on the spacious track “Day of the Kid” and the collaboration between Chilly Gonzalez and Stars on the piano-driven alt-pop stunner “Nothing Good Comes to Those Who Wait.” By combining some of the most familiar voices in indie pop, the compilation is a testament to the continuing vitality of the Arts & Crafts roster.

Customer Reviews

Can't wait for the full album, Waltz No.2 is AMAZING

As a huge Arts and Crafts, and Elliot Smith fan nothing I was so excited when I found out about the collab. between Zeus and Dan Mangan - needless to say they did Smith justice and did not disappoint.

Love It!

Bizarre Love triangle sounds like a drunken version of itself.

It's perfect

It's so beautiful, the songs, the voices, the story. There are layers, even down to the order of tracks. Just beautifully done. Thank you!
