iTunes Review

Seems everybody has a memory connected to this album, whether it's a campfire sing-along to "Peace Train," falling in love to "How Can I Tell You," or watching a sunrise to the piano ballad "Morning Has Broken." Romantic and spiritual songs were Cat Stevens' specialty, yet he still had a darker side: "Moonshadow" is a nursery rhyme with hints of the macabre. The hidden gems are the upbeat tracks: "Changes IV" is funky enough that Santana covered it, and "Bitterblue" rocks with hard-strummed acoustic guitar.

One Of The Best Cat Stevens Albums

Teaser and the Firecat was one of my favorite Cat Stevens albums. It may not of of met the expectations lyrically because of his mesmerizing lyrics in previous albums such as Tea For The Tillerman and Mona Bone Jakon but in the musical department it seemed to exceed the expectations of most people. This album had a variety of different styles. Moonshadow, Peace Train and Morning Had Broken were probablly the most popular songs from the album but my favorites were Changes IV and If I Laugh. Over all Teaser And The Firecat was an excellent album that exceled Cat Stevens into stardom. I would say that it is arguably one of the best album's of the 70's.

Encore un album extraordinaire

Rubylove est une chanson style grec qui est difficile à décrire mais je l,écoute encore après plus de 30 ans, morning has broken a probablement été un de ses 5 plus grand hit.

Another album full of hits

Funny how almost every song on this album is a hit. It's like getting a 'best of' album each time. Tea for the Tillerman is the same way. Great songs, very memorable. The Wind is one of my favorites... deceptively simple.

Cat Stevens, born Steven Demetre Georgiou, was the son of a Swedish mother and a Greek father who ran a restaurant in London. He became interested in folk music and rock & roll in his teens while attending Hammersmith College and in 1965 began performing under the name Steve Adams. Mike Hurst, a former member of the folk-pop group the Springfields, who had become a record producer, heard him and took him into a recording studio to cut his composition "I Love My Dog." This demo caused Decca Records...
