Such a Sick Start

This album was worth the wait. Got a preview at all the songs and loved every one of them. Sick alternative beats that I'm sure everybody will enjoy.

JUST A SIDE NOTE: There are 4-6 more unknown tracks coming in the deluxe edition. They were recorded within the last 2-3 weeks so they won't be shown on this album, but look out for the full deluxe version coming for pre-order within a week or so. What a sick way to end off the summer! Props to Kanye and everyone else apart of GOOD Music.

In GOOD We Trust

Some fans of Kanye may be disappointed with this latest offering, expecting work at the level of his critically-acclaimed masterpiece, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. If you are one of those people, I urge you to suspend your disbelief for just 55 minutes and listen to this album…no really, LISTEN to it. Don't go in with expectations that it is going to contain the same heart-touching lyrics or beautiful, soulful production as some of his previous work. Rather, go in with the mindset that this is a compilation album, and as a result it isn't just Kanye offering up his talents. You have (pretty much) the whole GOOD roster here; Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend, Hit-Boy, Common, Malik Yusef, Teyana Taylor, D'Banj CyHi Da Prynce and Kid Cudi. Joining them for the ride are guests R. Kelly, Jay-Z, James Fauntleroy, 2 Chainz, Ghostface Killah (with a show-stealing verse that may be the best on the album,) Raekwon, The-Dream, Travi$ Scott, Marsha Ambrosious, Jadakiss and the ever controversial Chief Keef.

Yes, this truly is a fully-collaborate effort, and one that tries not to take itself seriously. The production is absolutely incredible with contributions from the likes of Mannie Fresh, Hudson Mohawke and Travi$ Scott, amongst others…just so we're clear, this is an album you most definitely want to be playing with some high-quality headphones or a good sound system. The album may seem disconnected at some times, but standout tracks Clique, New God Flow, The Morning, Sin City, The One and Bliss help tie everything together. Although this may not be the Kanye West we're all used to, once again keep in mind that the purpose of this album was to showcase the extremely diverse talent of the GOOD Music team, and in that endeavour it succeeds completely.

Also please note: the version on iTunes is altogether different from the physical copies that are available in stores today. Kanye did some last-minute mastering to the tracks, and the difference is duly noted. This is definitely the version to get for now.

Complete My Album?

I bought 1/3 of the songs off this album as singles before the album was released. Now you guy's don't count them and I have to buy the whole album, meaning I will have duplicates? C'mon Mr. West, not even theraflu will fix how cold your being.
