Meh

I am not a Death Metal person. Never have been. I just do not understand how people can understand vocalists without a lyric sheet in front of them. Anyways, I did not buy this album. My friend let me borrow it for a couple of days, so I thought I would give my two cents on the album.

The album starts with "Not all who Wander are Lost" and the only standing feature was the excessive double bass pedal and this continue througout the entire album. Its not bad. What it is, is a stamina test to anyone who wants to learn to play any of these songs. Guitar work isn't bad. Some pretty good and memorable riffs and some nice solo work. As with vocals, I have already discussed this above.

Devildriver does not exceed in any particular part of their music becase most death metal sounds sloppy. Granted, it is not the worst death metal album I have ever heard. That still goes to Bring Me The Horizon.

In summary, if you like American Death Metal, then this is about as good as American gets. As for me, I'm sticking with the good European Metal.

Amazing

This album never let the suspence fall kept building. If your looking for metal at it's best this is the way to go

Amazing

Don't bother downloading this if you only like 'european metal' like the guy below... Download it because the music is good. The energy is amazing. Just treate yourself to something beautifully brutal.

Signed to Roadrunner like Fafara's previous group, DevilDriver released their eponymous debut to mixed reviews in 2003, and then its even less appreciated follow-up, The...
