Set of Horns and a Halo.

Finally, the wait for this to drop is over and J. Cole delivered. I had no doubt he would even though Other rappers in his class like Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean put out awful albums (Rolling Papers and Finally Famous). People with real talent like him don't have to sell out and take a different approach to their album than their mixtapes (reference: Wiz Khalifa and Rolling Papers vs Burn After Rolling & Kush and OJ). I hope this album helps him make it big because the lyricism in this and all his music including his mixtapes is better than anyone else in the game right now. It's rare to see music with a message these days, which makes J. Cole unique. Some of the stuff that passes for music now is ridiculous. Seriously, there's a song out right now with the chorus saying "my heart is so jetlagged."It's albums like Cole World: The Sideline Story and musicians like J. Cole that keep hip hop a relevant genre right now amongst all the gimmicky filth we call Top 40. If this is your first introduction to J. Cole, I urge you to check out two of his mixtapes; Friday Night Lights and Warm Up, it'll be worth your time. To conclude this review I'd just like to point out how happy I am to listen to some real new hip hop. J.Cole, keep doing what you're doing and to other rappers, this is the standard you'll be compared to from now on so step your game up!

Born in Germany but raised in North Carolina, Jermaine Cole grew up with a mother who loved rock and folk, and a father who was a fan of hardcore rap artists like 2Pac and Ice Cube.
