iTunes Review

After placing third on the 2011 season of The Voice, singer/songwriter Vicci Martinez delivers an exceptional long-player, her first for a major label. And though it's immediately apparent in the sleek production, Vicci also sounds mixed with the good taste of someone with years of recording experience. The opening song, “Come Along,” is a perfect example. It sets a cool mood with Rod Cook’s dusty old slide guitar playing bluesy tones over a pristine radio mix, as Martinez and Cee Lo Green sing a fetching duet. “Run Run Run” follows, with pitter-patter rhythms pedaling alongside softly distorted synths and handclap percussions. But the song's chorus blossoms with skyward-soaring melodies as she sings somewhat like a tougher Norah Jones. “I Can Love” gives Martinez gives more room to rock out in the verses with crunchy guitars, until the refrain explodes into a disco-dappled slice of neo-soul. Here she has ample room to tilt her head back and let her soulful voice wail like the Studio 54 era never ended.

Two thumbs up

I've never heard of Vicci before I stumbled upon her album in ITunes. Great songs! Love her raspy voice.

Vicci is amazing!

I became a fan of Vicci Martinez when I first heard her sing on Season One of The Voice. Vicci is truly an amazing singer and a great performer. She sings we some much passion and that can be heard on her new album Vicci. Vicci's vocals sound awesome. I love her new album from top to bottom . Some of my favorite tracks just to name a few are "Come Along" feat Cee Lo Green, "Run Run Run", "Let Go" , "Little Faith" and "Stop Prentending". "Vicci" was definitely worth the wait and a must have album.

By Angelika Diana:
This album is just fantastic. Vicci's voice is incredible and she truly displays her talent as a singer/musician and songwriter. I can't even choose a favorite - it's a tossup between 'I Can Love', 'Stop Pretending', 'Run Run Run' and 'Little Faith'. I saw her perform in concert and was amazing how well she sings live - it's almost as perfect as on the album. I'm a new fan, but I can officially say this is the best album I've bought in a very very long times. Each song has such passion, each lyric touches our hearts and everyone can relate to it. Excellent album Vicci! I loved it so much I bought 2 copies. One in concert and a copy on iTunes =) Pick up your copy too, you won't be disappointed in the slightest.
