Pete Christlieb shares the spotlight on this CD with fellow tenor Bob Cooper. Accompanied by pianist Mike Wofford, bassist Chuck Berghofer and drummer Donald Bailey, the two tenors stretch out on such songs as "The Touch of Your Lips," Dizzy Gillespie's "Shaw 'Nuff," "Limehouse Blues" and Cooper's "Bit O' Sweets." Christlieb's hard tone contrasts well with Cooper's cool sound. Cooper is showcased on "Come Sunday," while the rhythm trio has "The Late, Late Show" as their feature. An enthusiastic and consistently swinging session.
