After his wildly successful 2003 album The Last Don, Don Omar could have gotten comfortable. Instead, he pushes the boundaries of reggaetón on his second effort and blends an innate urban sensibility with Dominican ripiao (“Cuentale”), headbanging rock (“Candela”), Jamaican dancehall (“Belly Danza”), Egyptian flutes (“Salió el Sol"), and pop balladry (“Tu No Sabes”). Lyrically, he proves that no amount of fame and fortune can make him turn his back on the streets that raised him.
