exceptional and inspirational

seriously one of the best sounds I've heard in a while, and I've really been looking.

Fabulous, but Repetative

Florance + the Machine. This girl is my new favorite. This album is very energetic, deeply thought through and fun, despite it's some what repetative sound. Her music pushes me foreward through grueling tasks, and it's also a great mood pick up. I found out about her through a friend of mine, and instantly fell in love.
The first track on the album, 'Dog Days are Over' is so uplifting and fun. Also the way she extends the word 'over' with the different pitches included almost reminds me of a howling mutt. 'I'm not calling you a liar' is another great track, the logic behind the lyrics just makes perfect sense. 'Girl with one eye' is erie and twisted which changes the dynamics of the album, it creates a good difference in the music. My favorite, 'Between two lungs' is just overall great. The soaring lyrics and dynamics adds brilliance to this record. The demos included show you what gets changed through out the song writing stages, and you can definatley hear the improvement. I highly recomend this record, despite the somewhat repetative sound. It is definately worth the 8 bucks.

you've got the love, blinding, cosmic love, and blinding are some of the most moving, chill-creating songs I've heard in a while. Florence and the Machine's new album is cohesive, but yet SO original. A MUST have for this year.

Managed by the Camden-based DJ duo the Queens of Noize and backed by a rotating lineup of musicians, Florence + the Machine released...
