Customer Reviews

Some great covers. Also some not so great ones.

I'll try to keep this short and to the point. For the most part, this is an awesome compilation. My favorites are the absolutely epic Used cover of the Talking Heads and the Against Me cover of The Replacements. Some other decent ones include the Taking Back Sunday cover and the Black Keys cover. I absolutely cannot stand the Flaming Lips cover though. It's a psychedelic, self-indulgent mess. Just when you though Madonna couldn't get any worse...Wayne Coyne and company do the unthinkable.

Okay.

This is what you'd expect from a cover album. I agree with the previous review in 2 notes; The Used cover is great, and the The Flaming Lips cover as usual, is terrible. My personal favourite is the Disturbed cover of Faith No More's 'Midlife Crisis'. Also, Avenged Sevenfold's rendition of 'Paranoid' by the famed Black Sabbath is also a nice touch.

The rest, I'm not a fan of the artists, but unbiasedly, you be the judge...I think they're average at best.
