iTunes Review

This 78-minute collection of chart-toppers covers the first 35 years of Elton John’s career. Voraciously musical and lyrical, Sir Elton wins hearts and ears with diabolically catchy ballads including “Daniel,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” and “Sacrifice,” which are all tinged with inescapable sadness. He pumps glam fists on “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting," gets soulful on “Philadelphia Freedom,” and wonderfully re-imagines The Beatles with a cover of “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds." It’s a tightly packed compilation that showcases how this enigmatic singer/songwriter became, and remained, an international superstar.

Customer Reviews

I have been an Elton John fan for years and was desperately disappointed not to be able to find his music in the iTunes store. I heard earlier this week on a business report that this was going to be released and I have waited with baited breath since. This is a great compilation of Elton John's greatest hits and certainly a must have for all Elton fans!

Initially marketed as a singer/songwriter, John soon revealed he could craft Beatlesque pop and pound out rockers...
