So much fun!

I saw the show pre-Broadway in Seattle, and it was great! Rent the video of the original movie, then you'll really enjoy this show/soundtrack.

A bit Tired

The basic musical foundation of the show is okay, and I really mean to use the weakly descriptive word "okay." There are some decent songs and some humable tunes. However, this show gets tired really fast due to the stereotypically goofy Brooks humour. The lyrics and jokes are terribly predictable. I will say that Megan Mullally's songs make it worth listening to again and I'll probably just put a few select songs on my iPod. If looking for a new show, try it. If you're looking for something with staying power, there are other shows I'd buy first. Which I did, leaving this.

If You're a Fan

If you' re a fan of Mel Brooks and/or the original movie version of "Young Frankenstein" you will love the comedic numbers on this soundtrack. Every fan needs to see this musical then buy the soundtrack for it is full of the goodies that are found in the movie as well as many more cherishable moments. Moments such as "He Vas my Boyfriend" and "Roll in the Hay" now have ridiculously awesome musical numbers. However if not the entire soundtrack "Putting on the Ritz" is a MUST! Hilarious!!!
