You Go Glenn Coco

Words cannot describe the variety of Marianas Trench. The rifts and solos are so beautiful, and the songs flow together quite well. Comparing this to "Fix Me" or "Masterpiece Theatre" isn't... ideal. You can't keep comparing Albums and Sounds. They're meant to be unique, to induce an array of feelings during the first listen. This isn't a "Pure Pop" album. The people who say it is aren't listening properly. It's quite Contemporary, and even the songs claiming to be pop definitely have their Alternative moments. The Band has stated before that Queen is a big influence, and personally, I can see it in their music. Another landmark for Marianas Trench, the album is masterfull crafted, and beautifully strung.

And for that, Gentlemen, We Thank You.

Ever After

After waiting what has felt like forever, Ever After is finally here! I knew this album would be great, but I had not expected it to be this good! I love every song, and how they all run as one song. My favorites off the album are "Truth or Dare" and "Desparate Measures". Ever After is a unique stand out from other pop albums today, it highlights Josh's vocal and writing talents even more than the last albums. You won't regret giving it a listen.

Weird but good...

Ever after is not MT like you know them, with story time and strange dub step vocals and intros that sound like you're listening to Kesha, but the entire album flows beautifully together into a cohesive trip through the bizarre, talented, musical mind of Josh Ramsay. Its a testament to what modern technology can do in the hands of talented artists. Worth every second.

Not only is Marianas Trench the deepest known spot in any ocean (located in the floor of the North Pacific Ocean), it's also a Vancouver-based rock band that is the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist Josh Ramsay. Ramsay — whose dad once owned the Little Mountain Sound studio that recorded bands like Aerosmith and AC/DC in the '80s, and whose vocal teacher mom recorded and toured with Leonard Cohen for two years — had been writing and recording since his teen years. He unsurprisingly learned...
