Album Review

The Orpheus label isn't all that forthcoming with information on this release. Glancing at its track list, you probably wouldn't be able to discern that it is a compilation that pulls from Life After 30 (1999), Live in Concert (2000), Personal Reflections (2005), and Transitions (2006). (It's Your Move from 2004 is the only album from this phase of Freddie Jackson's career that is not represented.) For those who want an overview of Jackson's late-'90s and early-2000s releases, it's somewhat handy, but it relies too heavily upon the poorly mixed live set — the source of "Nice 'n' Slow," "Have You Ever Loved Somebody," "Tasty Love," "You Are My Lady," and "Rock Me Tonight." It's misleading that the live performances are not noted as such.
