Editors’ Notes

With their fourth studio album, All Time Low tip the scales of the punk-pop genre much more heavily on the side of pop — and it totally works. “Do You Want Me (Dead?)” opens with a lyrically quirky slice of Cheap Trick-inspired power-pop. The following “I Feel Like Dancin’” is the album’s chart-driven standout and was co-written by Rivers Cuomo whose Velcro-catchy hooks recall Weezer’s own “Beverly Hills.” The emo-laced anthem “Guts” competes for top track status with subtly melancholy melodies that contrast an uplifting chorus and a welcome guest appearance by Maja Ivarsson of the Sounds.
