a musical kick to the head!

Top 10 of 2006! Even better than Gulag Orkestar (more organic sound with a full band instead of multiple overdubs by one guy). Who knew balkan-brass-band inspired mayhem could be so uplifting?

Awesome, but better Live

Like any great band Beirut is better seen at a live show then heard on a recording. Still this EP is amazing and gives you a taste of how capable a young band like Beirut is. See them live as soon as you can, in the mean time enjoy the EP. They pull off Indie-gypsy music, how effiing cool is that?!


I absolutly LOVE Beirut! When I listen to it, it makes me think, and that means the world to me! I hope Beirut is proud of their music!
