Un petit côté celtique et folklorique

Excellent album, quelque peu différent des précédents. Petite touche celtique et folklorique très intéressante.

Leaves’ Eyes’ best album by far

I like pretty much everything Leaves’ Eyes has ever recorded, but this album in particular really blew me away. It’s probably not for everyone - in particular, hardcore metal heads may be disappointed that folk side of folk metal is a little more prominent here (though the metal side is certainly still strong). But for me, it’s a perfect balance - still heavy, but with beautiful Celtic and Scandinavian folk elements interwoven, and a lush, otherworldly feel. Not just my favourite Leaves’ Eyes album, but one of my favourite albums, period - by anyone.

Gothic metal band Leaves' Eyes was born out of the romantic relationship between singer Liv Kristine Espenæs and guitarist Alexander Krull, who met whilst she was fronting Norway's Theatre of Tragedy and he Germany's Atrocity. The pair eventually married and announced their musical union in 2003, with Espenæs quitting Theatre of Tragedy to join Krull and the rest of Atrocity's lineup (guitarists Thorsten Bauer and Mathias Roderer, bassist Christian Lukhaup, and drummer Nick Barker) to found Leaves'...
