A great return to form

I was big fan of Melanie Doane in her earlier days of Harvest Train and Shakesperean Fish and I'm so glad that she's finally done an album in that same style again. The Adam's Rib matieral was ok, but it always seemed like she was trying to sound like something that she wasn't and that always bothered me. She isn't a loud rock singer - she's a folk singer with a fabulously beautiful voice that I've always loved and I'm glad that she's come back to that style. I'll be listening to this album a lot.

a peaceful and lovely cd

I found it to be a wonderful early morning cd, before the madness of the day crowds my mind. Peaceful, simple and engaging. Many of the tracks I have found to be layered and moving. The emotion comes through in both the vocals and lyric. Melanie’s voice is pure, clear and soothing and is framed nicely by the instrumentals. Most enjoyable.

Amazing!

I had no idea who Melanie Doane was until I watched Being Erica, where Every Little Thing was featured in at least 3 episodes, and then Chopin Ballad was in Flashpoint. After coming on itunes to find the songs I fell in love with the rest of this album!!
