Almost perfect, but...

...but, where are "Bad Girl" and "Deeper and Deeper"? Can't get over those not being included. Especially in the deluxe video version. "Bad Girl" is one of her greatest video accomplishments. It's a shame it's missing.

So Worth It!!!

Remastering was well worth the effort! Burning Up sounds absolutely incredible!!! Was so happy that Whos That Girl made the album track list. Revolver and Celebration fit in perfectly. Love it! Ots one of those albums I can listen to from start to finish and not get bored outa my skull listening to it.

It's about the music

Madonna is one of the most influential and enduring icons of popular culture in our time, and this collection should prove to the world that she also has an incredible catalog of music to back up her status. Many people compare her to Michael Jackson, as the Queen and King of Pop respectively. While Michael had indisputable natural talent and also unmatched musical output, I find Madonna's music more diverse, showing more evolution, and with a more positive message. While for most of her career, the attention has been more focused on controversy than artistry, listening to this collection, you also realize how committed she was in expressing the message of positivity, freedom of expression, unity, and happiness (through music and dance) all throughout her career, and this makes her a true artist and a great entertainer. In an era of the Nirvana and Nine Inch Nails (bands which mostly write about dark, morbid, negative themes) and in a world ridden with war and overall psychological chaos, Madonna continues to send the message of positivity and strength. She is also able to balance her messages with an unmatched pop sensibility and visual class (the Vogue video, her live concerts, which are always thoughtfully put together). I always feel you can't judge popular music only with musical merit, but it's part of a package delivered within a cultural context that marks the relevance and success of a popular song. And in this sense, nobody knows how to do it better or work harder at perfecting it than Madonna.

After stars reach a certain point, it's easy to forget what they became famous for and concentrate solely on their personas. Madonna is such a star. She rocketed to stardom so quickly in 1984 that it obscured most of her musical virtues. Appreciating her music became even more difficult as the decade wore on, as discussing her lifestyle became more common. However, one of Madonna's greatest achievements is how she has manipulated the media and the public with...
