EDITORS’ NOTES

The Reklaws are Ontario brother-and-sister duo Jenna and Stuart Walker (“Reklaw” = “Walker” backwards), and their effortless way with a country anthem may have something to do with their small-town pedigree. Raised on a rural “adventure farm,” the Walker kids cut their teeth playing gigs for tourists who turned out to experience life on the range. Their debut EP collects some recent singles (the rousing “Long Live the Night,” the nostalgic “Hometown Kids”) and rounds them out with a few new numbers like “Raised by the Radio.” Standout track “Feels Like That” incorporates the pair’s strengths—singalong choruses rendered with tight harmonies, and slice-of-life lyrics that feel homegrown and authentic.
