Good but lost some of the old magic

After 3 years Stars are back with another solid album. As premature as this might be, I think it is fair to judge that this is not their best work. With their change to more electronic based music, they have lost some of the delicacy of the songs found in their last two albums whilst also not hitting the same level of songwriting as their other electronic based albums Heart and Nightsongs. The biggest problem I have with the album is that the songs have lost a lot of the emotion that once made their music so stunning. With that said, however, Stars at 70% is still better than most bands at 100%.

I like this album, yes, but I don't think it is one of their bests. Some of the lyrics are kind of shallow and lacking meaning (You sold me some cheap ecstasy so you could have some sex with me) but any Stars fan, myself included, will appreciate any new work from Stars. Good work, guys!

Canada's best band (tied with metric!)

Incredible band and a stunning album. No one should live without listening to them.
