Waste.

These bands are all so wonderful and talented, it pains me to see them support something that makes me lose all faith in literature and humanity.

Amazing compilation of artists

The new installment of the New Moon soundtrack to the Twilight franchise offers an outstanding cast of artists, and a variety of sounds. If you enjoyed the first Twilight soundtrack, this one will be somewhat harder to swallow as it does not deliver the somewhat more pop artists like Paramore and Linkin Park, however, in my opinion this collection of artist is expodentially more talented. Obviously the first thing that is exciting about this edition is there are 18 tracks, which means this album is absolutely worth its weight. After that look at the names associated! Thom Yorke, Muse, Grizzly Bear, Editors, Bon Iver, Lupe Fiasco and more. because of the variety of artists it has a variety of different sounds and emotions; there are the dark and emotional tracks such as "done all wrong" by BRMC and "No sound but the wind" as well as a few more. These were to be expected due to the feeling of the novel itself. However the album is not all gloom and doom, "Friends", "Violet Hour", "Solar Midnight" all offer a more upbeat sound. I am especially pleased to announce that Muse does have an appearance on this album however if i were you and had not already done so i would purchase their new album "The Resistance" and get the "I Belong To You" album version, The New Moon version leaves a lot to be desired. It is a lazy remix with added guitar that completely destroys the song, which was one of my favorites. Overall I think this is an absolute powerhouse compilation of artists and music, and any music lover should purchase this album regardless of its relation to twilight.

Sad

This soundtrack is in some ways sad. Thom Yorke, Death cab for Cutie, muse, Anya Marina and others should not be subjected to this kind awfullness. They to good for this.
