Editors’ Notes

Jack Johnson has achieved a state of graceful equilibrium that eludes many superstars—offering music that’s executed with increasing polish (like 2010’s To the Sea) while retaining the unassuming charm that put him on the map in the first place. From Here to Now to You continues this balancing act with breezy acoustic rock that finds inspiration in everything from the ordinary (“Washing Dishes”) to the ephemeral (“You Remind Me of You”). Now and again, Johnson’s band digs in with a buoyant, self-assured, slightly funky backbeat (“Shot Reverse Shot,” “Radiate”) but the songwriter’s most affecting moments are in coolly constructed ballads with a twilit feel, like “Never Fade” and the album’s closer, “Home.”

Excellente toune!!!

J'ai tellement hâte à l'album en entier, la première chanson est débile comme à l'habitude!! Vivement Jack Johnson !!!

Never evolving

Seriously, life is about growth and taking chances. Being comfortable and lazy sums it up in Jacks world..... I admit his first album caught my attention, that beautiful Cole Clark Fat Lady guitar and his story telling. Come on, fix this Jack you are boring and predictable. Blow us away with something new, like that friend you have "Ben Harper". He keeps taking it to the next level, like teaming up with "Charlie Musselwhite". I mean step it up or give it up..... This album is new but there is nothing new about it.... Quit stealing our money unless you have something to offer... Well not my money, I would never purchase this album.

Prove me wrong and heighten my senses, make your next album worth something to talk about!!!!!!

Living the dream.

Great first track, can't wait for the whole release.

Before Jack Johnson became the 21st century kingpin of beachside pop/rock, he was a champion surfer on the professional circuit. The sport was second nature to the Hawaiian native, who began chasing waves as a toddler and, by the age of 17, had become an outstanding athlete on the Banzai Pipeline. However, Johnson was also testing other creative outlets — specifically film and music — and a serious surfing accident during his first professional competition convinced him to devote more...
