Good things happened early for this Toronto-based singer/songwriter, who signed with a management company at 14 and snagged a record deal two years later. Under a nimbus of curly blond hair (think early Bob Dylan) lies a talented pop-soul-R&B hybrid whose "Call" was deemed "the Summer Jam of 2014" by Justin Timberlake. An equally impressed Pharrell Williams co-produced Yates’ debut EP with Robin Hannibal.
