Joe Pug is God!

Okay, I won't compare Joe Pug to Clapton, Dylan, or God, but I will say that I hope you take the time to purchase this album and listen to it from start to finish and then try to tell me that Joe Pug can't be compared to the greats. Joe himself will become a legend, he's already creating his legacy. Every note he sings is passion in it's rawest form, his lyrics like the thoughts of Shakespeare and Holden Caulfield combined. If you have a soul, I swear that Joe will touch it and perhaps leave a beautiful wound of misery, happiness, and pure emotion. This album, when not being listened to, sits on my metaphorical iPod CD rack conversing with Dylan, Prine, Mellencamp, and Ritter while gracefully holding it's own.

A singer/songwriter whose songs offer an updated version of the country-folk archetypes that Bob Dylan and John Prine made famous, Joe Pug was born and raised in Maryland, and began playing guitar when he was in grade school. Pug formed his first band on a dare from his sixth-grade science teacher, who didn't believe Pug and his friends would be able to pull something together in time to appear at a school dance. The boys were able to deliver a presentable version of a tune from the first Foo Fighters...
